About Us

 

Taj’s Car Wash has served Berkeley residents since 2010. It is owned by Taj Herzer-Baptiste, who started the business when he was 10 years old. Now, he is 15 and still greatly enjoys being a young social entrepreneur.
 
He has learned many car washing and detailing methods from watching and talking to other business owners. He researches the latest products that the industry uses. He is greatly committed to learning new techniques and various ways of using all the products he has.
 
He is very passionate about environmental and social justice issues. He contributes over 75% of the profits of his business to environmental issues and supporting activist associations like the Ocean Conservancy, the Sierra Club, the California State Parks Foundation, the National Parks Conservation Association, the Gorilla Foundation, Save the Bay and many more.
